Third party production

Herba Sapiens provides its customers with a third party service to create product lines according to the needs and expectations of its customers.

We make our semi-finished products obtained from the maceration of freshly processed medicinal plants within two hours of harvesting available to our customers.

We guarantee continuous customer assistance in the choice of raw materials, fragrances, packaging and the graphic design of labels.

We also offer advice on all regulatory aspects that regulate the marketing of cosmetic products.

The creation of a cosmetic product is carried out through different stages and involves three distinct laboratories:

1. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY

2. PRODUCTION AND PACKAGING LABORATORY

3. QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY

We make our semi-finished products obtained from the maceration of freshly processed medicinal plants within two hours of harvesting available to our customers.

The creation of a cosmetic product is carried out through different stages and involves three distinct laboratories:

1. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY

2. PRODUCTION AND PACKAGING LABORATORY

3. QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY

1. Research and development laboratory

Our research and development laboratory is characterized by the rigorous application of different processing stages. The FORMULATION is, without a doubt, the first stage in the development of a cosmetic, the most delicate moment where an idea slowly becomes a prototype that through multiple stages will be transformed into a real product. In this stage the single components are carefully studied and the new raw materials are evaluated, searching for the best balance between them until the desired balance is obtained through numerous tests. All this will lead to the creation of a new product.

In the next TESTING stage, the stability and safety of the newly created product is determined. Particular attention is given to the choice of packaging and packaging materials in general in order to avoid any unwanted interaction with the product itself.

Subsequently the product is subjected to the ASSESSMENT stage in which all the most important chemical and physical parameters such as pH, viscosity, density and others are measured through a qualitative-quantitative analysis. The product then undergoes both mechanical and thermal stress tests by passing through a centrifuge and being exposed to high and low temperatures and UV rays. At this point, the product, which has passed the tests described, will be sent to a specialized center that makes use of specialized dermatologists who will perform all the PATCH TESTS necessary for the determination of skin compatibility. Once passed this last test the product is ready to be put on the market.

If the customer requests it, we are able to obtain ORGANIC CERTIFICATION for the products thanks to our collaboration with accredited certification bodies operating in the cosmetic sector authorized to issue the AIAB Bio Eco Cosmetics marks.

2. Production and packaging laboratory

After all stages of its development and after passing the necessary tests, the product enters the large-scale production stage. We think it is important to underline that all the RAW MATERIALS that we use are stored in rooms with a conditioned temperature, are dosed and processed following the manufacturer's recommendations, are performed on specific samples to check the bacterial load and the state of preservation.

We check each batch with analysis certificates, data sheets and safety data sheets. The products are processed with special turbo-emulsifier machines, homogenization, the mixing speed and the temperature are constantly monitored. The pH and viscosity of a product in bulk are immediately evaluated and recorded on special product data sheets.

After evaluating the chemical-physical parameters of the product, the bulk is packaged using pneumatic dosing machines. The batch is then stored in special conditioned warehouses dedicated to the finished product.

3. Quality control laboratory

Our quality laboratory has the precise objective of guaranteeing the quality of the product in all its processing stages, from the arrival of the raw materials in the company, to the control of the packaging materials, to the physical and chemical analysis of the products in bulk, up to the evaluation of the efficacy parameters of the finished product.

This continuous monitoring makes it possible to keep the entire development process under control and to intervene early with corrective measures if necessary, thus guaranteeing the efficiency of the entire production cycle.
